Rory switched into P-7CB 4 to 6 iron in Melbourne to update his WiTB this week. He was curious to try something more forgiving and had mentioned a few shots recently that he slightly miss-hit and came up 20-30ft short, so he is just exploring if he can be more consistent with his distance control with P-7CB’s.

Rory tested a full set of P-7CB’s in Melbourne, but decided on the combo set purely because the shorter irons were launching a little too high compared with his Rors Proto’s. He felt the shorter irons may take some more getting used to, but he liked the higher launch and forgiveness offered in the P-7CB long irons.

He is going to do further testing with short irons so you may well see him in a full set of P-7CB’s yet! We’ll of course update you when he next plays in Dubai in January.
